Currently, we are seeking an experienced, energetic and driven Project Manager to join our team in Castlegar. The Project Manager performs a wide range of duties. They are responsible for project planning, staffing, implementing, billing, controlling and evaluating each project. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Identify potential business opportunities
  • Maintain good relationship with suppliers, consultants, general contractors and end users
  • Review contracts for onerous clauses and conditions
  • Manage project financial performance
  • Estimate cost changes
  • Purchase materials and equipment
  • Work with the foreman and superintendent as a team to review the project documents and discuss labour requirements and staffing
  • Develop project schedules
  • Manage the project and be present on project sites on a regular basis
  • Progress invoicing
  • Review reports labour status reports, job status reports etc. to ensure accuracy
  • Arrange for completion and submission of project O & M Manuals
  • Ensure that all deficiencies are addressed
  • Ensure that as-built drawings are submitted
  • Review the project at completion with the foreman and superintendent to discuss successes and challenges

 

Experience and Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience within HVAC & plumbing project management and estimating
  • Project management experience with both commercial and institutional projects
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints
  • Strong mechanical aptitude. Advanced proficiency with commonly used mechanical concepts, practices and procedures
  • Knowledge of applicable building codes and industry installation practices
